Whether you prefer urban views by Shea or country settings by Theresa, you will find both to be unique and beautiful. The exhibit and reception are open to the public.
Theresa Vincent expresses her love of the outdoors using both oil and acrylic mediums. Through the use of vibrant texture and color, she seeks to capture the sensations of nature she encounters through extensive hiking and traveling. Her paintings reflect the karst landscapes and gentle beauty of the Texas Hill Country, as well as the deep forests and rushing waters of the northeast United States. She loves creating works that bring out the “moments of magic” found in even the simplest scenes in nature.
Shea Daniel-Youngblood is an oil painter living and working in San Antonio, TX. She begins her paintings “en plein air” (painting on location) and then typically completes them in the studio, creating a sort of plein air hybrid. Her paintings are intended to provide a glimmer into the essence of the places she paints. With uncanny detail and suggestion, and her use of color, line and light, she allows the viewer to imagine being there. You might see Shea, brush in hand, on a street near you as she explores new places and challenges to paint.
